Al Sawadi Beach Resort

Location: Set within beautifully landscaped gardens on one of the most tranquil private beaches of the Sultanate of Oman, the Al Sawadi Beach Resort overlooks the serene string of Sawadi Isles. It is the ultimate choice for fun and leisurely relaxation.

Accomodation: 100 spacious chalet-style guest rooms (some interconnecting) in elegant surroundings with private patio. Large bathrooms with hair-dryer. Rooms have individual remote controlled A/C, deposit boxes, international direct dial telephone, minibar, remote controlled TV with satellite channels and radio.

Camping in Tents:

Camp out in our tents, in the secure environment and enjoy the regular hotel amenities. Half board as well as the use of all non-motorized resort facilities adds a touch of luxury to your camping experience. Early check-in and late check-out on the following days allows you to make most out of your weekend.

• Periwinkle’s Pub features traditional pub grub, live entertainment and beers from the draft as well as an array of exciting tropical and fancy cocktails.

• Beach Bar Mouth-watering specialties served at our charming outdoor location and cooked on authentic charcoal-burning ovens, this is the ideal venue for intimate dinner get-togethers for smaller groups, facing the beach and listening to the waves. Prior booking necessary.

Leisure:

Temperature controlled pool with separate Kiddie-pool and an even more comfortable temperature controlled open Jacuzzi surrounded by beautiful lush green landscapes.
Flood-lit volleyball court on our private beach. During “Friday Fun Days” we often organize impromptu games on the pool lawn.
Enjoy the challenge of our Kramer-surfaced tennis court, with panoramic garden and sea view, between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Use of the court is free, rackets and balls may be rented. Lessons are also available. Please book the court at the dive centre.
Standing on lush greens, this 9 hole, par 36 mini golf putting course is an enjoyable exercise for young and old. The fairway flows over the contours of the perfectly manicured grass. The game is free of charge and clubs can be rented from the souvenir shop at the lobby.
We have two air conditioned courts located inside the Health Club. While the use is free of charge, the rackets may be rented from the pool attendants.
Our Health Club features a complete multimex weight station, a set of dumbbells and 5 cardiovascular workout machines.
If you are searching for the ultimate event venue, the top of Al Sawadi Island is the answer! A dinner or party place under the sign of the Sawadi Tower for up to 150 persons, overlooking the coast of Barka, with comfort rooms and even with its own helipad!
Relaxation comes in the form of original Ayurvedic herbal oil massage. Pamper yourself with this rejuvenating therapy. Half an hour or full hour treatments are offered.
After a strenuous exercise, treat yourself to a relaxing sauna bath. Located inside the Health Club, the sauna can be operated between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. Please allow 30 minutes for the pool guards to heat it up.
Kids Playground This is the activity centre for the little ones, located near the kiddies’ pool so that the watchful eye of Mom or Dad can always guard the little angels.
Quad Biking has never been this fun on this especially laid-out quad course. Choose from 50 cc for 6-12 years, 80cc for 12-16 years and 150 cc for 16 years and older drivers. The rental period minimum is for 15 minutes.
Mini Football Our pool lawns are perfect to kick the ball around. Two mini goal posts are fitted to suit a team of 6 players each, while a single player can practice at the trial shoot-out board.
Enjoy 'SADDLES', horse-riding stables & school; sunset rides for experience riders or morning lessons for beginners.
Ride the waves at high speed on a Banana Tube, which is towed by a motor boat. Can seat up to 5 persons.
Tube Riding Our latest model has two separate moulds for one passenger, each with two handles. They are safe and fun, especially when pulled by its own gravity out from the wake of the boat, picking up an enormous speed.
Kayaks Feel the gliding water as you row the waves. Make it to the Sawadi Isles and back and you have had a good exercise.
Paddle through water on a Giant Bicycle, alone or in double. It is a cardiovascular exercise as good as biking!
Jog, brisk walk or just leisurely stroll on our wide private beach that is almost 800 meters long from fence to fence. Ideal for collecting shells and building sandcastles or just dig your feet in the sand and relax under the warm Oman sun.
Have fun on Skis, gliding through the water. We have special learning sets for children 5-8 and 9-12 years old and a learning video that is shown before the first attempt which relaxes the junior champions and makes the first steps much, much easier.
Enjoy quietly peddling over the calm waters at Al Sawadi beach and overlooking the Tower.
Visit or circle around the beautiful Sawadi Isles just as a family trip or choose to be dropped and picked up at a secluded sandy beach on one of the isles off-shore.
