The gently rolling landscape of the 6,428-yard, par 71 NAD AL SHEBA CLUB, formerly DUBAI GOLF & RACING CLUB, is deceptive. The front nine of this fully floodlit course is built inside the perimeter of Dubai´s main racecourse at Nad Al Sheba, home of the $6 million Dubai World Cup horserace, while the back nine, opened in 1996, runs alongside the "home straight".
	The short holes over water allow little room for error, while the par 5´s make stringent demands to reach the green safely; deep pot bunkers await the unwary, while eight lakes add further attractive hazards.
Fully floodlit with the last tee-time at 8:00 p.m., this enjoyable and friendly golf course is designed along the lines of a traditional Scottish links with pot bunkers sunk into the greensides. Emphasis is on accuracy, not length, but also wind can be a factor on the treeless landscape, especially in the afternoon. Elevated tees on the back nine add to the experience, giving a good view of each hole.
